ACEA Supports the Annual School Readiness Fair
March 2, 2019

John Reuschlein was remembered at the Judy Center's Annual School Readiness Fair by the Cat in the Hat, David Buskirk. A gift basket in John Reuschlein's honor was donated and raffled off at the fair. ACEA President, Kim Sloane, honored John with these words that she wrote:
"There was a man with no hat
But once every year he fixed that
For Dr. Seuss' birthday was always on his mind
and he would wear the tallest hat,
oh yes the perfect kind
With beautiful stripes of red and white
It rose up to the perfect height
To show not pride, but something more
That reading was a gift to the little ones he adored."
John was a powerful part of the annual School Readiness Fair, although he was not physically there, his presence was felt by many. ACEA supports the annual School Readiness Fair by gathering donations from community members to purchase books for the Allegany County Public Libraries to give to children who attend the fair.
